TRUE LEGACY CRAFT BEERS SINCE 1877…
Over the years, there’s been a significant shift in the beer industry. In the late 19th century, smaller, local breweries were common and offered a wide range of options. The rise of large commercial breweries and consolidation lead to a reduction in the variety of beers in many regions.
Luckily, there have always been breweries that stuck to their craft. Independent operations that catered to fans who appreciated exceptional beer. Founded in 1877, Drewrys is one of those breweries. And it’s making a comeback.
DREWRYS is back.
Long before microbreweries were a trend, Drewrys was focused on producing smaller, carefully crafted batches. Drewrys creates distinctive, flavorful beers that don’t necessarily follow mainstream trends.
We’ve unearthed the original recipes for traditional lager, Canadian-style ale and robust German-style bock and have reintroduced them. We also created a lower-calorie version of our famous lager—a light offering. Our beer is brewed with pure Wisconsin spring water, using high quality ingredients.
Dedication to craftsmanship and tradition in brewing often appeals to beer enthusiasts like you who seek authentic and unique flavors. It’s great to have Drewrys back, continuing to thrive and provide refreshing options for those who appreciate our beer.

NEW RELEASE –
SUMMER 2025

Drewrys American Porter – English Roots, American Character
Porter originated in 1700s England, known for its dark color, roasted malts, and slightly burnt flavor. Though nearly lost to time, small-batch brewers like Drewrys are bringing it back.
A Classic, Reimagined and Back by Demand
Our Porter recipe first came from England, passed through Canada and landed in the U.S. after Prohibition. Over time, it evolved—swapping European malts for American ones—creating a smoother, more drinkable style. Shelved for decades due to changing tastes and market trends, it’s now making its return. Find it in 16 oz. cans in June 2025 with draught coming late Summer 2025.

Founded in 1877 in Manitoba, Drewrys came to Indiana in 1936 just after the close of Prohibition. Drewrys — the lager of choice throughout the Midwest — dominated the scene until its untimely demise during the “Beer War” of the ’70s. Now we’re back, and better than ever!
